United States to Host Inaugural Women's Club World Cup in 2028
The inaugural Women's Club World Cup will take place in January 2028 in the United States, as confirmed by FIFA.
Arsenal is among the seven teams already announced for the tournament, which will include a total of 19 teams competing from January 5 to January 30, 2028. Additional clubs will be announced later.
The tournament aims to mirror the men's Club World Cup and will occur every four years. FIFA's chief women's football officer highlighted the U.S.'s strong track record in hosting major FIFA events and the growing interest in women's football as key factors in the decision. Other confirmed teams include Barcelona, Gotham, Club America, Corinthians, Naegohyang, and Wuhan Jiangda.
