Samantha Irvin, known as Samantha Johnson, joined WWE as a ring announcer in 2021 but left the organization on October 21, 2025, due to limited career advancement opportunities.

Irvin expressed her desire to take on a more significant role, such as a manager or General Manager, but WWE preferred to keep her in her ring announcer position. Following her departure, she has shifted her focus back to her music career, releasing four singles in 2025, including 'Make Me.'

Irvin confirmed that she had a non-compete clause in place, which she stated would last for one more year at the time of her exit.
