UPUA Approves Wepa Printing Voucher Bill Among Others
The University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) convened on Wednesday to swear in new representatives and vote on five bills. The assembly welcomed Black Caucus Representative Klarha Cajuste and IST Representative Jason Gallo during the session.
The first bill, aimed at providing supplies for tabling engagement, sought funding for stress toys to promote inclusivity. It passed with a vote of 22-13. The second bill, which proposed distributing Wepa printing vouchers to help students manage printing costs, was approved unanimously.
Other bills included funding for a student council roundtable and a candy distribution for an open house event, both of which passed with significant support. The final bill focused on educating international students about their rights under federal legislation and also received unanimous approval. The meeting concluded with a presentation on waste management and recycling initiatives at Penn State.
