Uros Medic and Daniel Rodriguez Make Weight for UFC Belgrade
Uros Medic and Daniel Rodriguez both successfully made championship weight on Friday for their headlining fight at UFC Belgrade, marking the promotion's inaugural event in Serbia.
Each fighter weighed in at 171 pounds for the welterweight main event scheduled at Stark Arena. Medic, a Serbian native, aims to extend his winning streak to four fights, while Rodriguez is returning to the octagon following his release from a Mexican jail related to marijuana possession charges.
In the co-main event, former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz and Navajo Stirling both weighed 205 pounds. Stirling stepped in on short notice to replace Bogdan Guskov, who recently fought in Abu Dhabi. Blachowicz has not secured a victory since 2022, while Stirling enters the fight with an undefeated record of 10-0. Additionally, Aleksandar Rakic weighed 237.5 pounds for his heavyweight debut against Marcin Tybura, who weighed in at 254 pounds. The main card will be broadcast on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on Paramount Plus.
