Usain Bolt Joins Manchester Veterans' Football Team
Usain Bolt, renowned for his achievements as an eight-time Olympic champion sprinter, has signed up to play for a veterans' Sunday league football team in Manchester.
The 40-year-old Jamaican is now listed as a player for Wythenshawe Vets FC, which competes in the Premier Division of the Cheshire Veterans Football League. This team gained attention last year for featuring a roster of former Premier League players.
Wythenshawe's current squad includes notable former professionals such as Emile Heskey, Oumar Niasse, Antonio Valencia, Papiss Cisse, Stephen Ireland, Nedum Onuoha, Joleon Lescott, and Danny Drinkwater. Although Bolt's registration has been confirmed on the Football Association's Full-Time website, the team has yet to make an official announcement regarding his involvement.
