USS Abraham Lincoln Departs Thailand After Five-Day Visit

The USS Abraham Lincoln departed from Thailand on Sunday after a five-day port visit, marking the end of a respite during its extended deployment, which included operations in the Middle East, according to the U.S. Navy.

The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, which carries approximately 5,000 personnel, was involved in U.S. naval blockade and combat operations related to the conflict with Iran. The Lincoln, along with other U.S. naval vessels, arrived in Thailand on Wednesday, welcomed by Thai officials who noted the visit's duration.

During their stay, sailors and Marines disembarked and visited the resort city of Pattaya, located about 150 km southeast of Bangkok. The commanding officer of the Lincoln expressed gratitude for the hospitality received from the Thai people.
