Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Remains on Bench Ahead of Final T20I Against West Indies
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has not participated in any of the first four T20 matches against the West Indies, with the Indian team opting for an opening partnership of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma. This decision has been supported by head coach Gautam Gambhir, who believes that replacing either player would be unjust given their performances.
Gambhir highlighted Samson's significant contributions, including his recognition as Player of the Tournament at the World Cup, and emphasized the need to maintain a successful combination. As the series approaches its final match, Sooryavanshi shared a brief message on social media indicating his optimism for future opportunities.
While acknowledging Sooryavanshi's talent, Gambhir reiterated that he must wait for his turn, as established players currently hold priority in the selection process. He assured that when Sooryavanshi does get a chance, he will likely have a more extended run in the team.
