Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scores 92 runs in the Duleep Trophy semifinals, becoming the youngest player to achieve a half-century in the tournament's history.

In a remarkable display of talent, 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 92 runs during the Duleep Trophy semifinals, making him the youngest half-centurion in the tournament's history. This achievement occurred on day two of the match between East Zone and Central Zone at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

Sooryavanshi's innings lasted 118 minutes and included seven sixes and seven fours. He formed a significant partnership of 161 runs for the opening wicket with Abhimanyu Easwaran, who contributed 69 runs. Despite being dropped on 40, Sooryavanshi continued to dominate the bowlers, showcasing his fearless batting style.

His performance surpassed the previous record held by Laxman Singh, who was 16 when he achieved a half-century in January 1969. Sooryavanshi's innings was characterized by aggressive strokes, including a series of boundaries against various bowlers, before he was eventually caught at deep mid-wicket.
