Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Shines with 92 Runs in Duleep Trophy Semifinal

In a notable performance during the Duleep Trophy semifinal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 92 runs for East Zone against Central Zone at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The innings, which lasted 118 minutes and comprised 81 balls, showcased his impressive batting skills, including seven fours and seven sixes.

At just 15 years and 157 days old, Sooryavanshi set a record as the youngest player to score a fifty in the tournament, surpassing a record that had stood since 1969. His aggressive batting helped East Zone reach a total of 266, matching Central Zone's first-innings score. Sooryavanshi's innings was pivotal, forming part of a 161-run opening partnership with Abhimanyu Easwaran, who contributed 69 runs.

Despite his strong performance, Sooryavanshi fell short of his maiden first-class century when he was caught at deep mid-wicket while attempting another six. Central Zone ended the day at 45 for 3 in their second innings.
