Vaisakh Chandran Revives Bowling Form After Injury Setbacks
Vaisakh Chandran, an off-spinner, has successfully corrected his bowling action and regained his form following a challenging period marked by injuries. The last two seasons were difficult for him, as he faced a finger injury followed by a shoulder injury that hindered his performance.
During a Ranji Trophy match against Karnataka, Chandran's struggles were evident as he conceded over 100 runs. After this experience, he spent the remainder of the season in rehabilitation, where he analyzed footage of his performance and recognized significant changes in his bowling technique. With the assistance of coach Biju George, he made necessary adjustments to his action.
Chandran has shown promising results in recent practice matches, taking multiple wickets and out-performing senior teammates. He has adapted his bowling strategy by varying his pace and has benefited from collaborating with experienced bowlers, which has enhanced his understanding of field settings and tactics.
