Van Rysel Launches RCR-G: A High-Performance Gravel Race Bike
Van Rysel has introduced the RCR-G, a gravel race bike designed for speed, blending road bike aerodynamics with gravel optimization. This model features a low front stack, aggressive riding position, and 50mm tire clearance, making it suitable for fast riding on both hardpack and paved surfaces.
The RCR-G is equipped with a power meter and a Universal Derailleur Hanger, and it weighs 16.7 lbs (7.6 kg) in size small. Priced at £6500 / $10999 / €6599, it aims to appeal to riders who prioritize speed over comfort, with geometry that favors a stretched-out, aero position.
Developed through extensive testing, the bike incorporates high modulus carbon for a lightweight frame and has been optimized for performance, saving 8.6 watts compared to its predecessor. While it excels on smooth gravel, its handling may be less stable on rougher terrain, making it essential for riders to choose appropriate tires for their conditions.
