
Vancouver's Little Mountain Secures Canadian Little League Title Again
Vancouver's Little Mountain claimed the Canadian Little League title for the second consecutive year by defeating Ottawa West 4-0 in the final held in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia.
The match extended into a second extra inning after remaining scoreless through the initial six innings. Kian Sandhu played a pivotal role, making a crucial diving catch in the sixth inning and later contributing two runs with a double in the eighth inning.
Little Mountain added two more runs before Jacob Massel closed out the game against Ottawa West. Ottawa's starting pitcher, Aaron Aquino, recorded 10 strikeouts over 5.2 innings before reaching his pitch limit. The Little League World Series, featuring players aged 10 to 12, is scheduled for August 19-30 in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where Canada will face a team from Seoul, South Korea, in their opening game.
