Max Verstappen has called for Formula 1 to include drivers in the process of designing new circuits. This appeal comes as teams prepare for a race where overtaking is expected to be challenging.

Verstappen highlighted that the current circuit design limits overtaking opportunities, with drivers needing to rely on external factors like virtual safety cars or red flags to gain positions. He noted that while some corners may allow for passing, the overall layout requires improvement to enhance racing dynamics.

Despite expressing concerns about the circuit's design, Verstappen acknowledged the efforts made to prepare the track and share information with teams. He also commented on the banked Turn 12, suggesting that its design could be adjusted for better performance.
