Vic Fangio Observes Improved Speed in Jalen Hurts During Training Camp
Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has commented on quarterback Jalen Hurts' performance during training camp, noting a noticeable increase in his speed. Fangio, who has been observing Hurts in practice for several years, shared his insights during a press conference.
Fangio highlighted that Hurts is adapting well to the new offensive scheme under coordinator Sean Mannion, stating that Hurts looks faster and is effectively managing the changes. Defensive tackle Jalen Carter echoed Fangio's observations, mentioning that he has struggled to keep up with Hurts during plays, describing the experience as surreal.
Last season, Hurts recorded 421 rushing yards, the lowest of his six-year tenure as the team's starting quarterback. However, reports indicate that he has been running more frequently in practice, suggesting a potential increase in his rushing statistics this season.
