Brazilian freesurfer Victor Bernardo and his wife, Johnni, were reportedly involved in a serious car accident on August 16, 2026.

The crash resulted in Victor being airlifted to a hospital, while Johnni was transported by ambulance. Filmmaker Logan Dulien shared the news on social media, noting the severity of the incident and urging the community to keep the couple in their thoughts and prayers.

Currently, both are hospitalized, with Victor preparing for surgery and efforts underway to improve Johnni's condition. Bernardo, who was recently invited to the 2026 Surfing Champions Trophy, is recognized for his unique style in freesurfing.
