Vijender Singh, a renowned World and Olympic medallist, has urged Indian boxers preparing for the Asian Games to eliminate distractions, including mobile phones, to concentrate on securing medals.
During a virtual interaction, he expressed confidence that Indian boxers could achieve five to six medals, highlighting the potential of athletes like Sakshi Choudhary, Preeti Pawar, Priya Ghanghas, and Lovlina Borgohain among the women, and Sachin Siwach and Narender Berwal among the men.
Vijender, a medalist in previous Asian Games, emphasized the importance of performance over external factors and acknowledged the competitive landscape, noting the strength of countries like Kazakhstan and Japan. He remains optimistic about the readiness of the Indian team.
