Vikings Defense Shines in 23-13 Victory Over Saints
The Minnesota Vikings secured a 23-13 victory against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, maintaining their undefeated status after five weeks of play.
The Vikings' defense was a key factor, limiting the Saints to just nine first downs and 142 total yards. New Orleans quarterback Tyler Shough struggled, completing 16 of 25 passes for 96 yards and throwing two interceptions.
Despite two fumbles in the red zone that could have increased their lead, the Vikings managed to score with an 8-yard touchdown run by Aaron Jones in the fourth quarter, followed by a 55-yard field goal from Will Reichard. Quarterback Kyler Murray completed 24 of 30 passes for 229 yards and a touchdown, with Justin Jefferson catching six passes for 79 yards. Minnesota will have a bye in Week 6, while the Saints, now 1-4, will face the Giants next week.
