Vikings GM Provides Update on J.J. McCarthy Amid Trade Speculation
Rumors regarding J.J. McCarthy's future with the Minnesota Vikings have intensified since Kyler Murray was named the starting quarterback. General manager Nolan Teasley addressed these speculations, indicating that the team remains committed to McCarthy's development.
Teasley noted that McCarthy's role is to improve and support his teammates, highlighting his excellent performance in that regard. Despite an ankle injury that sidelined McCarthy during the preseason finale, Teasley expressed optimism about McCarthy's future with the team.
While there were discussions about McCarthy's trade value, Teasley refrained from confirming any trade talks prior to the roster cut deadline. He emphasized McCarthy's talent and potential, stating that the young quarterback has only started ten games and has a promising path ahead under head coach Kevin O’Connell.
