Vikings Sign Veteran Edge Rusher Kyle Van Noy for Depth
The Minnesota Vikings have signed veteran edge rusher Kyle Van Noy, who is expected to provide depth behind starters Andrew Van Ginkel and Dallas Turner.
At 35 years old, Van Noy aims to enhance his career total of 57 sacks. His previous experience with defensive coordinator Brian Flores, including two Super Bowl wins with the New England Patriots, played a key role in the Vikings' decision to pursue him.
The need for additional edge rushers arose after the trade of Jonathan Greenard to the Philadelphia Eagles and the recent ACL injury to second-year player Tyler Batty. In 2025, Van Noy recorded 20 tackles and 2.0 sacks while playing for the Baltimore Ravens. His signing comes as the Vikings also face uncertainty at the safety position due to injuries.
