Vinicius Jr. Receives Four-Game Ban, Missing El Clasico
Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr. will be unavailable for the El Clasico against FC Barcelona on October 25 after receiving a four-match suspension. This decision follows a red card issued during the recent home match against Villarreal at the Bernabeu.
Vinicius Jr. entered the game in the 52nd minute but was sent off 20 minutes later after a VAR review revealed he had pulled Nathan Saliba's hair prior to what he thought was a goal. The Spanish Football Federation classified this action as violent conduct, leading to a two-game ban for the hair pull and an additional two games for his aggressive behavior towards the referee.
The suspension affects only domestic matches, allowing Vinicius to participate in the Champions League games against AS Roma and RB Leipzig. He will return to LaLiga action after the November international break, with his first match back scheduled against Celta Vigo on November 22.
