Vinicius Jr Receives Four-Match Ban from Spanish Football
Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has been suspended for four matches by the Spanish Football Federation's disciplinary committee. This decision follows his red card during a recent match against Villarreal, where he was penalized for pulling an opponent's hair shortly after entering the game as a substitute.
The disciplinary committee imposed a two-match ban for the red card and an additional two matches for protesting the referee's decision. As a result, Vinicius will miss crucial league games against Sevilla, Barcelona, Racing Santander, and Valencia, including the first Clasico of the season on October 25.
Vinicius was part of the Brazilian national team that recently won a friendly match against India, scoring 4-0. Following the incident, he expressed regret to his teammates and fans on social media. Real Madrid's manager, Jose Mourinho, criticized the timing of the ban's announcement, which occurred just hours before a Champions League match against AS Roma, claiming it disrupted the team's preparations.
