Vinod Khosla Approved as New Owner of Seattle Seahawks
Vinod Khosla has been approved as the new owner of the Seattle Seahawks, with his ownership confirmed on Wednesday. He expressed his expectation for the team, which recently won the Super Bowl, to maintain its winning momentum and aim for another championship.
Khosla highlighted his family's passion for football, stating that the opportunity to invest in a Super Bowl-winning franchise is rare and exciting. He has previously been a minority owner of the San Francisco 49ers and has been a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers since moving to the U.S. in 1976.
Joining the Seahawks, Khosla praised the team's fan base, known as the 12s, calling it the best in the NFL. Regarding the future of Lumen Field, he indicated that it is premature to discuss renovations or a new stadium, but he expressed a preference for preserving the existing iconic venue.
