Vinod Khosla, recently approved as the owner of the Seattle Seahawks, defended his loyalty to the Pittsburgh Steelers, a team he has supported for 50 years, following criticism on social media.

The NFL owners unanimously approved the sale of the Seahawks to Khosla and his family on Wednesday, with the transaction valued at a record $9.612 billion. Khosla, who immigrated to the U.S. in 1976 and attended Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, expressed his ongoing enthusiasm for the Steelers during a press conference.

In response to a critical post from Barstool Sports, Khosla emphasized that his past connection to Pittsburgh does not diminish his commitment to the Seahawks. He stated that he aims to keep the Seahawks competitive and focused on long-term success, highlighting a recent contract extension for Pro Bowl defensive tackle Leonard Williams as a sign of his family's dedication to the team.
