Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Cleared to Return from Injury
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has successfully completed his final concussion tests and is anticipated to rejoin the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday after being placed on the injured list for a week.
Guerrero returned to the team on Friday, participating in batting practice following a minor league rehab game with single-A Dunedin. Manager John Schneider noted that Guerrero felt good and was performing well prior to his rehabilitation stint.
The injury occurred during a game against the Yankees last Friday when Guerrero collided with George Lombard Jr. at third base, resulting in a head injury. Despite the incident, Guerrero managed to score a run before leaving the game. Currently, he has a batting average of .263, with seven home runs and 46 RBIs.
