Jons, who has gained millions of followers through her comedic style, was given unrestricted access to interact with riders and staff. Unfortunately, her approach clashed with the serious nature of professional cycling, leading to discomfort among participants. In her vlog, she made inappropriate comments to staff and riders, including a particularly insensitive remark to Josh Tarling, who was grieving the recent loss of his brother.

The backlash was immediate, prompting an official complaint from Pogacar's team and criticism from Spanish commentators. By the third stage, the Vuelta had limited Jons's access, prohibiting her from interviewing riders without prior team approval and restricting her presence around the podium.
