Vuelta a España Prize Money Distribution Revealed

Enric Mas achieved a notable victory at the 2026 Vuelta a España, earning €176,800, but this amount is significantly less than what Tadej Pogačar received at the Tour de France.

Mas's earnings include €150,000 from his general classification win, along with additional funds from stage victories and primes. In contrast, Pogačar amassed €611,980 at the Tour, highlighting the financial disparity between the two events.

Matthew Brennan ranked second in the Vuelta prize money standings with €65,905, while Pogačar, despite crashing out on stage 8, was the fifth-highest earner with €42,855. Overall, the Vuelta a España distributed €1,116,210 in prize money, which is less than half of the Tour de France's total payout.

Movistar topped the team prize rankings at the Vuelta, earning €181,300, a stark contrast to their €19,000 from the Tour de France. Other teams like Burgos-BH, Jayco-AlUla, and Picnic-PostNL earned less than €10,000, insufficient to cover their expenses for the race.
