Wales Achieves Gold and Silver in Women's 25km Points Race at Commonwealth Games 2026

In the women's 25km points race at the Commonwealth Games 2026, Anna Morris and Jess Roberts achieved a remarkable one-two finish for Wales.

Morris, who had previously won a bronze in the team pursuit alongside Roberts, dominated the race from the beginning, scoring points in the initial sprints and ultimately lapping the field to secure 20 points with about 60 laps remaining.

As the race progressed, the lead fluctuated between the two Welsh cyclists, but Morris eventually established a six-point lead over Roberts. In the final sprint, Morris earned 10 points to finish with a total of 66, while Roberts secured second place with two additional points, narrowly ahead of Australian bronze medalist Georgia Baker.
