Wales Rugby Squad Features Eight Uncapped Players for WXV Global Series
Wales rugby head coach Sean Lynn has selected a squad of 39 players for the upcoming WXV Global Series, featuring eight uncapped athletes. The team will compete against South Africa and the USA at Cardiff Arms Park this month.
Among the new faces are wings Amy Williams and Kelsie Webster, along with prop Stella Orrin, who previously played in an uncapped match against the Barbarians. Co-captains Alex Callender and Kate Williams, both back-row forwards, are also included, with Callender aiming to earn her first cap since the 2025 World Cup after recovering from injury.
The campaign kicks off against South Africa on September 18, followed by a match against the USA on September 26. Wales will also face Japan later in October. The team has recently dropped to 12th in the world rankings after a series of defeats but ended their losing streak with a victory over the Barbarians in June.
