Wales Secures WXV Series Victory Over Japan with 29-5 Win

Wales celebrated a significant achievement by defeating Japan 29-5 in Kumagaya City, completing a WXV double. This victory marks Wales' first back-to-back Test wins since June 2024.

The match saw early tries from wing Nel Metcalfe and hooker Moe Nagaoka, followed by additional scores from hooker Kelsey Jones and wing Amy Williams in the first half. Prop Sisilia Tuipulotu added another try after halftime, and Williams scored her second later in the game.

Despite being reduced to 13 players due to yellow cards for Keira Bevan and Hannah Dallavalle, Wales maintained their defensive strength to keep Japan from scoring further. This win concludes the Global Series for Wales with three victories, while Japan continues to seek their first win under head coach Toshizumi Kitagawa.
