Warriors GM Confident Steph Curry Will Sign Contract Extension
The Golden State Warriors are optimistic that superstar guard Steph Curry will sign a contract extension and complete his career in the Bay Area. Curry is currently in the last year of his existing deal and is eligible for an extension starting August 29.
General manager Mike Dunleavy emphasized that Curry has consistently expressed his desire to remain with the Warriors. He noted that while the decision ultimately lies with Curry, there is no indication that he is considering leaving the team.
Last season, the Warriors faced challenges, finishing with a 37-45 record and missing the playoffs due to injuries affecting key players, including Curry. Dunleavy mentioned the team's focus on ensuring player availability while balancing talent in roster construction for the upcoming season.
