Washington Commanders Set to Sign Offensive Lineman Max Scharping

The Washington Commanders are preparing to enhance their offensive line by signing Max Scharping, according to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz.

Scharping, who is 29 years old, has spent the last two seasons primarily with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He previously spent about a month on the Commanders' practice squad.

A second-round draft pick in 2019, Scharping has played in 81 games and made 33 starts across his time with the Houston Texans, Cincinnati Bengals, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
