Way Fruit Farm to Close Downtown State College Location

Way Fruit Farm has announced the closure of its downtown State College store, located at 252 E Calder Way, effective August 22, 2026.

The decision follows unsuccessful negotiations for a lease renewal at a reasonable price. The downtown location, known as Way Fruit Farm Downtown Market & Café, provided fresh fruit, bakery items, grocery products, and a café with meal options.

Despite the closure, the Port Matilda location will continue to operate, offering a farm, store, café, and bakery. It is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., remaining closed on Sundays. The farm will also host community events such as music festivals and Apple Cider Fest.
