Welsh Feathers Announce Squad for World Cup Qualifiers

The Welsh Feathers have named a 12-player squad to compete in the Netball World Cup qualifiers in Scotland later this month. Interim head coach Reinga Bloxham has made one adjustment to the team, replacing Poppy Tydeman with Millie Carter.

Carter, who previously earned her first cap against Zimbabwe in November 2025, joins a squad that largely mirrors the one that finished 10th at the Commonwealth Games. Wales, now ranked ninth in the world, will face the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland at the Playsport Arena in East Kilbride from September 25 to 27.

The top two teams from these qualifiers will secure a place in the 2027 World Cup in Sydney. The squad is led by captain Bethan Partridge and vice-captain Leah Middleton, featuring five players from the Dragons squad for the upcoming Netball Super League season.
