The match saw Jarrod Bowen and Konstantinos Mavropanos also find the net for West Ham, while Marshall Munetsi and an own goal from Mavropanos provided Wolves with their two goals. This loss marked the first defeat for Wolves under their new manager, Cesar Peixoto.

West Ham initially faced challenges, with Raul Jimenez missing a clear chance early in the game. However, Mukasa opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with a long-range shot. Bowen later converted a penalty, and despite Wolves pulling one back just before halftime, West Ham extended their lead in the second half, ultimately securing the win.
