Western Bulldogs Confirm Rory Lobb's Future Amid Trade Speculations
The Western Bulldogs have confirmed that utility player Rory Lobb will stay with the club until at least 2027, despite speculation surrounding his potential trade. In contrast, the future of Laitham Vandermeer is less certain as he has been linked to several clubs, including Port Adelaide, Melbourne, and Essendon.
Michael Regan, the Bulldogs' list boss, emphasized Lobb's importance to the team, stating that he plays multiple key roles effectively. Meanwhile, Vandermeer, who is under contract for two more seasons, has had a challenging year, playing only two games in 2026 due to injuries and form issues.
The Bulldogs have recently strengthened their roster by acquiring Jordon Butts from Adelaide, along with Finn Maginness from Hawthorn and Hudson O'Keeffe from Carlton. Regan noted that the club is focusing on adding mature-age players to enhance their chances for the 2027 premiership.
