White Sox Part Ways with Catcher Eric Haase

The Chicago White Sox have released catcher Eric Haase from a minor league contract, as reported by Brooke Fletcher of Chicago Sports Network. Haase had joined the team only a few weeks prior.

During his time with Triple-A Charlotte, Haase played seven games, achieving a batting average of .360 with nine hits, including two doubles and a home run, alongside five walks and five strikeouts. Despite this strong performance, the White Sox decided to release him, allowing him to seek other opportunities.

Prior to signing with Chicago, Haase was released by the San Francisco Giants after spending three months on their MLB roster. He had appeared in 29 games for the Giants, hitting .162 with four home runs. Currently, the White Sox are managing injuries to catchers Joey Bart and Kyle Teel, leaving Drew Romo and Edgar Quero as the only healthy catchers on the 40-man roster.
