Will Ospreay Discusses AEW World Championship Consideration for 2025

This weekend, Will Ospreay is set to challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at AEW All In. He disclosed that he was considered for a potential title shot in 2025, following discussions about his candidacy last year.

During his time in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament, Ospreay faced Hangman Adam Page, who ultimately won and went on to claim the AEW World Title from Jon Moxley. Ospreay noted that while he was in the running for the title, the decision favored Page, which he accepted as part of his growth in the sport.

After competing in the tournament, Ospreay achieved a tag team victory at All In: Texas but later faced health challenges, including surgery for herniated discs in his neck. He made his return to the ring with a victory over Blake Christian on AEW Dynamite in March 2026.
