Will Ospreay Discusses Recovery from Serious Neck Injury
Will Ospreay has opened up about his serious neck injury and the recovery process he underwent before winning the AEW World Championship at AEW All In. After having neck surgery in September, Ospreay documented his journey in a vlog and discussed his experiences on The Ariel Helwani Show.
Ospreay first noticed issues during the 2024 Continental Classic when he experienced numbness in his hand. He initially attributed it to the physical demands of wrestling, but the condition worsened, leading to moments where he would lose feeling in his arm after taking bumps. A doctor's call revealed the need for surgery, which he found daunting.
Despite the challenges, Ospreay focused on his recovery, inspired by John Cena's return from injury. He described the initial six weeks of recovery as particularly difficult due to his active nature. As he progressed, he regained confidence in his physical abilities, although he now faces some limitations with certain moves. Ospreay remains optimistic about his future in the ring.
