Will Ospreay Reflects on WWE Opportunities and Personal Preferences
Will Ospreay, a star in AEW, recently discussed his past interactions with WWE and his lack of interest in the promotion. In an interview, he revealed that while he watched WWE as a child, he eventually found its style did not align with his vision for wrestling.
Ospreay noted that he was approached by WWE twice early in his career, including an offer from Paul Heyman to sign with EVOLVE, which was blocked by his contract with New Japan. He also declined an invitation to participate in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic due to unsatisfactory financial terms, stating he earned more with New Japan.
Despite acknowledging that he might have earned more in WWE had he become a star, Ospreay confirmed he chose to sign with AEW instead. He expressed that he has little interest in WWE's current product and has not followed it closely, even during major events like WrestleMania weekend.
