Will Ospreay Shares His Path to Professional Wrestling

Will Ospreay is currently three days into his reign as AEW Men's World Champion after defeating Kenny Omega at AEW All In. His journey to becoming a wrestler began when he was a child, watching pro wrestling on television with his father, which sparked his fascination with the sport.

Initially, Ospreay did not start wrestling training immediately. Instead, he honed his skills through drama classes run by his mother, which helped him develop a sense of rhythm. He also studied wrestling techniques by watching tapes of high-flying moves, particularly those of Billy Kidman, whose shooting star press inspired him to practice on a trampoline in his garden.

Ospreay's trampoline practice led his mother to enroll him in a trampoline class, but he left shortly after due to its repetitiveness. He eventually began formal wrestling training at the Dropkixx Wrestling school but was expelled for participating in backyard wrestling. He later found success at the London School of Lucha Libre, marking the beginning of his professional wrestling career.
