Will Ospreay Shares Insights on Neck Surgery Recovery
Will Ospreay, a wrestler with AEW, has shared his experiences regarding his recent neck surgery, expressing fears about his ability to continue wrestling afterward.
Ospreay underwent a neck fusion due to three herniated discs affecting his spinal cord, a procedure he found daunting as it could potentially end his wrestling career. His wife, fellow AEW wrestler Alex Windsor, supported him through the process, while AEW CEO Tony Khan covered the surgery costs, which Ospreay noted were substantial.
Following a successful surgery, Ospreay has been actively recovering and has returned to AEW, winning the 2026 men's Owen Hart Cup, which has set up a title match against AEW World Champion Kenny Omega at Wembley Stadium.
