Will Ospreay's Journey from Wrestling School Expulsion to AEW Championship Contender

Will Ospreay, a prominent figure in professional wrestling, recently discussed his early career challenges, including being expelled from a wrestling school as a teenager. He revealed that his passion for backyard wrestling led to his dismissal from Dropkixxx Wrestling Academy.

Ospreay acknowledged that his actions, which included practicing outside the academy while others trained, warranted the school's decision. He expressed understanding of their stance, stating he would have made the same choice if in their position.

Following this setback, Ospreay trained at the London School of Lucha Libre, where he learned from notable wrestlers and honed his skills. His career progressed through the UK independent scene, leading to significant achievements, including winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship and later the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. In 2023, he signed with AEW and captured the International Championship in 2024. Ospreay is now set to challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship in his hometown, marking a significant moment in his wrestling journey.
