Williams F1 Team Struggles in 2026 Season
The Williams Formula 1 team is experiencing a significant decline in performance during the 2026 season, with drivers expressing disappointment over their position in the standings. Currently, Williams ranks ninth, having scored only 11 points, trailing behind Audi and Aston Martin.
Initially, the team had a promising start, earning points in the first six races. However, recent performances have seen drivers Carlos Sainz and Alexander Albon struggle, with no finishes better than 15th place in the last few races. Albon noted the frequent blue flags they encounter, indicating they are being lapped by faster cars, which hampers their ability to compete.
Despite hopes for improvement at upcoming tracks like Monza and Baku, both drivers remain skeptical about their chances of scoring points. Albon mentioned that while Monza could suit their car's characteristics, he does not expect to finish in the points based on recent trends.
