Willie Lampkin to Start for Eagles After Offensive Line Changes
Following the retirement of Lane Johnson and the trade of Cam Jurgens, the Philadelphia Eagles are adjusting their offensive line, with Willie Lampkin poised to start on Sunday against the Jaguars in London.
Lampkin, a former undrafted free agent, has been practicing as the starting left guard. He may also take on the center position, marking the first start of his NFL career.
During his college career at North Carolina, Lampkin was a standout player, earning first-team All-American honors and the Jacobs Blocking Trophy. Despite his accolades, he went undrafted due to his smaller stature, measuring just under 5-foot-11 and weighing 279 pounds. After being waived by the Rams due to injury, he was claimed by the Eagles and has since made the team's 53-man roster, participating in all four games this season.
