WNBA Draft Lottery Scheduled for November 15
The WNBA's annual draft lottery is set for November 15, where the Houston Comets and Toronto Tempo will have the best chances to secure the No. 1 pick.
Both teams hold a 33 percent probability of obtaining the top selection, which could potentially be JuJu Watkins. The Comets, previously known as the Connecticut Sun, cannot drop below the No. 3 pick, while Toronto is guaranteed at least the No. 4 choice in the upcoming draft on April 12.
The Washington Mystics have the third-best odds at 16 percent, thanks to a trade that granted them the Chicago Sky's first-round pick. Following them are Seattle, Portland, and Los Angeles with respective chances of 9.3 percent, 5.2 percent, and 3.6 percent. The draft will commence at 7:30 p.m. EST, following a women's basketball game between UConn and Louisville.
Watkins, who missed last season due to an ACL injury, may return for another year at USC, while other notable players like Hannah Hidalgo and Madison Booker are also potential draft entrants. The NCAA has granted players an additional year of eligibility, adding uncertainty to the draft pool.
