WNBA Finals to be Held at Smaller Venue Due to Scheduling Conflicts
The Atlanta Dream will host the WNBA Finals at Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia, which has a capacity of 3,500, due to scheduling conflicts at State Farm Arena. The Dream were unable to move Games 3, 4, and 6 to the larger venue because of a concert and two Atlanta Hawks games.
State Farm Arena, which can accommodate over 17,000 fans, previously hosted six regular-season games and three playoff games for the Dream this season. The Hawks have games scheduled on October 24 and 29, coinciding with the Finals.
Despite exploring other venue options in the Atlanta area, the Dream have not found a larger arena available for the Finals. The team recently announced plans to play all home games at State Farm Arena starting in 2027, highlighting their growth and the excitement surrounding their franchise.
