Wolverhampton Wanderers Sign Bertrand Traore on One-Year Deal

Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced the signing of Bertrand Traore, a former winger for Sunderland and Aston Villa, on a one-year contract.

The Burkina Faso international previously left Sunderland after making 12 appearances during his single season with the club, following his transfer from Ajax. Traore has also played for Chelsea, where he debuted in the Premier League and Champions League, and had loan spells with Vitesse Arnhem and Ajax, contributing to Ajax's run to the Europa League final.

Traore, who has 91 international caps and captained Burkina Faso at the recent Africa Cup of Nations, has experience from his time at Lyon and a £17 million transfer to Aston Villa, where he scored 10 goals in 62 matches. Wolves' head coach, Cesar Peixoto, expressed that Traore's skills will enhance the team's options as they aim for promotion to the Premier League.
