Wolves Secure 4-1 Victory Over Stoke City with Rodrigo Gomes' Brace
Wolverhampton Wanderers triumphed over Stoke City with a score of 4-1 in a Sky Bet Championship match at Molineux on Saturday. The victory allowed Wolves to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
Stoke City initially took the lead with a stunning goal from Sam Gallagher in the second minute. However, Rodrigo Gomes quickly turned the match around for Wolves, scoring two goals within three minutes before halftime. Raul Jimenez added a penalty in the 55th minute, and substitute Jordan James capped off the scoring with a goal in the final minutes.
Gallagher's opening goal came from a long-range shot following a defensive error by Wolves. After equalizing in the 20th minute, Gomes scored again shortly after, taking advantage of a rebound. Jimenez's penalty was awarded after he was fouled during a corner, and James' goal was a result of a well-executed team move.
