Worcestershire Takes Lead After Bowling Out Kent in County Championship

On the first day of the Rothesay County Championship match at St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury, Worcestershire bowled out Kent for 238 runs and ended the day at 80-2.

Kent's captain Daniel Bell-Drummond scored 52 runs, supported by Sam Northeast with 43 and Chris Benjamin with 40. However, Kent lost their last five wickets for just 25 runs during the evening session, with Tom Taylor taking 3-55 for Worcestershire.

Worcestershire, currently fourth in the Division Two standings, won the toss and opted to bowl first. They faced early trouble when Hasan Mahmud took two wickets in quick succession, but a partnership of 54 runs between Dan Lategan and Adam Hose helped stabilize their innings.
