World Series Begins Tonight with Rays' Nick Martinez Starting

The World Series is set to commence tonight at 7 pm CT, featuring the Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers. The series will start with two games in Milwaukee, followed by a travel day, and could continue with three games in Tampa Bay next week.

Nick Martinez will take the mound for the Rays, facing Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski. Martinez previously limited the Guardians to one run on two hits in his last outing during the ALCS. Drew Rasmussen, initially expected to start, will likely pitch in Game 2.

World Series rosters are expected to be announced shortly, with particular attention on Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff, who is returning from a shoulder injury. Milwaukee faces challenges regarding Woodruff's potential re-injury, as he has not played in the postseason. Both teams have struggled with the challenge system during the regular season, as noted by Rays manager Kevin Cash.
